Welcome to the Garden …
Welcome to TD Garden, where the Boston Celtics will take on the Miami Heat at 8 p.m. Miami leads the best-of-seven-series, 2-0.
It’s good to be home. The arena is, as always, a good kind of chilly. The fans will, as always, be into this game from the start. If home court advantage means something in the NBA, it means something here.
Paul Pierce was just warmed up the rims on the home end of the parquet with a little shooting. He looks no worse for the wear following an Achilles injury he suffered in Game 2. Pierce benefited greatly from the extra rest between games, maybe more so than any other player.
The Celtics know how much this game means tonight and their effort should indicate that. That being said, the Heat are good. They could easily go up 3-0 even if the Celtics are at their best. Kobe Bryant said last night that he thinks the Lakers can come back from their 3-0 deficit against Dallas. He knows how improbable that is. The Celtics, too, know how improbable it is to win this series if they lose tonight’s game.
Back with much more here from the Garden.
