Game 3: Celtics at Knicks

Tip-off:
7 p.m.
Series: Celtics lead, 2-0
Broadcast info: ESPN, WEEI
Probable starters:
Celtics:
PG: Rajon Rondo
SG: Ray Allen
SF: Paul Pierce
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Jermaine O’Neal
Knicks:
PG: Toney Douglas
SG: Landry Fields
SF: Carmelo Anthony
PF: Amar’e Stoudemire
C: Ronny Turiaf
Storylines:
Billups, Stoudemire: Knicks point guard Chauncey Billups remains very questionable for tonight’s game with a sprained left knee, while forward Amar’e Stoudemire is questionable with back spasms but is likely to play. Neither player practiced with the Knicks yesterday.
Rondo the scorer?: Rajon Rondo abused Toney Douglas in Game 2 on his way to leading the Celtics in scoring. The Celtics will take that if it’s there, but they’d be just fine with Rondo getting 20 assists and not scoring a point.
The bench/rebounding: The Celtics’ bench needs to step up in a big way; they’ve been outscored in both games. The Knicks got 20 offensive rebounds last game, a problem Doc Rivers blamed on having to trap Carmelo Anthony. Hogwash. The Celtics need to rebound better no matter who they’re trapping.
