Rondo, O’Neal, Davis will play

Rajon Rondo, Shaquille O’Neal, and Glen Davis will all play tonight against the Nuggets, according to Celtics coach Doc Rivers.

Rondo was a late scratch for Sunday’s game against New Jersey with a hamstring injury.

“Rondo was more of a rest issue to make sure it was OK,” said Rivers. “We’ve just got to be careful with it. Listen, he says he can play, he can play.”

Rivers said Davis has been ill and was kept away from the team for a couple of days so as not to get the other players sick.

“I don’t know how much he can play,” said Rivers.

On O’Neal’s calf injury, Rivers said, “Shaq’s 38. He’s going to have injuries. There’s going to be games where he’s going to be great and there’s going to be days where he’s 38 and he just can’t practice, and we’re good with that.”
