Tip-off:

8 p.m.
Records: Celtics (14-4), Bulls (9-7)
Broadcast info: ESPN, WEEI
Probable starters:

Celtics:
PG: Rajon Rondo
SG: Ray Allen
SF: Paul Pierce
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Shaquille O’Neal

Bulls:
PG: Derrick Rose
SG: Keith Bogans
SF: Luol Deng
PF: Carlos Boozer
C: Joakim Noah

Storylines:

KG vs. Noah: Lets face it. Kevin Garnett wasn’t going to greet Joakim Noah with a bouquet of flowers anyways. But after these comments by Noah, both players might be a little fired up.

“He’s a very mean guy,” Noah said when asked about comments Garnett made to Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva. “Where’s the love? None at all. Ugly, too.”

Should be fun.

Rose vs. Rondo: They’re different types of players. Derrick Rose (25.8 points, 7.9 assists) is the better scorer. Rajon Rondo (11.4 points, 13.8 assists) is the better pure point guard. Rondo tends to excel in matchups against the league’s elite point guards, whereas he struggled to defend Andre Miller on Wednesday.

Should be fun.

Conference elite: It’s very early, but the Bulls sit in 4th place in the Eastern Conference (the Heat are 5th. How fun would that matchup be?). These are the games the Celtics need to win to gain homecourt advantage in the playoffs.
