West has wrist surgery
As expected, Delonte West underwent surgery today to repair a displaced right wrist fracture. The surgery was performed by team doctor Brian McKeon at the New England Baptist Hospital and was deemed “successful” in a team press release (of course, a team press release deeming a surgery anything other than “successful” has yet to be written). No timetable has been set for West’s return.
West missed the first 10 games of the season due to suspension and averaged 6.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals upon his return.
