Bynum still limited

Lakers coach Phil Jackson said starting center Andrew Bynum will be limited to 10 minutes per half.

“That’s kind of what our training staff has said,” said Jackson. “Unless he has a landing or a turn or something that ends up irritating that particular part of his knee that has some loose tissue … that could be it. It will all depend on his transition, his ability to get up and down the court.”

Bynum’s limitations certainly limit the impact of the loss of Kendrick Perkins.

For all his coaching experience, Jackson has never coached in Game 7 of an NBA Finals. He said it was impossible not to recognize the intensity of this game.

“I’m keyed up,” said Jackson. “I mean, I think it’s natural to be keyed up.”

The adrenaline, Jackson said, will carry both teams through tonight’s game.

“The fatigue factor is so great that these players have to play with,” said Jackson. “And the amount of energy that will carry them in this thing. The adrenaline will run. And I think we saw that adrenaline run out in the second half of the game the other night, on Tuesday night, in both teams as a matter of fact, because this is really a straining point.”
