Boston Celtics

The old, the new, and the King

Old friend Leon Powe, expected to make his season debut for Cleveland tonight after missing every game so far this season due to a knee injury, is warming up at center court. Powe has a giant black, plastic knee brace on his left knee. He’s one of the classier players in the NBA, so expect him to get a great reception from the Boston crowd.

The newest Celtic, Nate Robinson, is putting up shots on the other end of the court. If you’ve been following Robinson on Twitter, you know he is taking a break from his “Lost” marathon to get this game in.

The King, LeBron James (right), is warming up by himself on the opposite end of the court. James is practicing a variety of shots, including some post moves. He might have plenty of opportunities to bring it into the post if Paul Pierce doesn’t play tonight for the Celtics. Of course, LeBron also spent some time taking effortless jumpers from just inside the Celtics logo near halfcourt, so maybe he’ll just stay out there.

Speaking of Twitter, you can follow Nate Robinson at @Nate_Robinson. And you can follow me during tonight’s game at @GlobeGaryDzen, and all of the Globe’s Celtics updates at @GlobeCeltics.
