Pierce out tonight, possibly beyond
Paul Pierce (hand) will not play tonight vs. Cleveland, according to Celtics coach Doc Rivers. Pierce was out shooting before the game, but Rivers said Pierce would not be able to participate in full contact games for a few days. Pierce will miss tonight’s game but could also miss at least one more game, Rivers said.

“We want to make sure it gets right,” said Rivers. “That’s one of those things where if he gets hit again, we go back down that road. We want to make sure when he comes back he can play.
“It’s easy right now. It feels much better, the swelling is down…but right now if someone hit it it would go right back to where it was at.”
