Gordon and Prince out, Rip probable
If there’s a team in the league as depleted as the Celtics, it’s Detroit. After missing the Pistons’ loss to New York Monday, Richard Hamilton will likely be in the lineup tonight, but the Detroit will go without Tayshaun Prince and Ben Gordon.

Prince and Gordon were both at the Pistons’ shootaround this morning, doing individual workouts, while Hamilton was absent. Gordon, an assassin in the Celtics first-round playoff series against Chicago last year, has missed four straight games with a strained groin. He said tweaked it yesterday playing one-on-one. This morning he stuck to more “controlled” workouts rather than “spontaneous” activity like one-on-one.
The Pistons, sitting a half-game out of the Central Division cellar at 14-26, have struggled this season mostly because they haven’t had the pieces together. Hamilton, Gordon and Prince have combined to miss 73 games.
