Couple of notes

Some pregame video of Ray Allen warming up above. No news there. He’s just fun to watch. (and the clip is unintentionally 34 seconds long).

Brian Scalabrine and Tony Allen are both still unavailable, and there are no timetable on the return of either player, according to Celtics head coach Doc Rivers.

Also, Kevin Garnett played 33 minutes last night, and Rivers called them “intense” minutes. Expect Garnett to sit more tonight, especially if the Celtics have a lead in the second half.

  • Rivers said that last night, with the size of the Cavaliers, the best lineup for the Celtics was the one featuring Kevin Garnett at power forward and Rasheed Wallace at center. Against a team like Charlotte, Rivers said at times the Celtics could go small and play three guards.
  • Rajon Rondo doesn’t get any breaks with this week with Raymond Felton (Charlotte), Derrick Rose (Chicago), and Chris Paul (New Orleans) coming to town.

    “I think Rondo now has established himself as a guard that the other guards are going to get up for him, too,” said Rivers. “It’s no longer he’s just trying to measure himself. They’re measuring themselves, too.”
