Powe still a ways from returning
Celtics forward Leon Powe said tonight he hopes to return to practice in a week and a half, which would place him in the last week of the regular season. Powe has been working out in the pool but is limited to shooting free throws right now on the court.
“I just don’t want to come back and not be myself,” said Powe. “Especially on defense. I’m not going to get back out there if I can’t be myself.”
Powe’s absence has been magnified by the absence of Kevin Garnett and Brian Scalabrine.
“I’ve got to get back there for my bigs,” said Powe.
