Boston Celtics

FINAL: Lakers 110, Celtics 109 (OT)

TD BANKNORTH GARDEN — For now, the Lakers are the best team in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Kevin Garnett fouled out before overtime as the Lakers swept the season series with the Celtics with a 110-109 overtime win tonight at TD Banknorth Garden. The loss drops the Celtics to 41-10, while the Lakers take over the NBA’s best record at 40-9.

On the final play of the game, Ray Allen inbounded the ball to Glen Davis and got it back, but the Lakers forced him into a tough shot that misfired at the buzzer.

Chris Forsberg and I are off to the locker rooms for postgame reaction, analysis, and video. Stay tuned.
