Four All-Stars?
Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he has lobbied for his own players to be named reserves on the Eastern Conference All-Star team, but he can only do so much.
“All the coaches lobby, but I think when they turn their back away from me they say, ‘Get the [heck] out of here,'” said Rivers. “I’m sure they’re thinking, ‘Yeah right, I’m going to vote for all your guys.’ But it would be nice if four of our guys made it. I think three will definitely make it (Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett). And it would be nice if [Rajon]Rondo made it.”
