TD BANKNORTH GARDEN — Welcome to the Garden, where the Boston Celtics (33-9) will take on the Phoenix Suns (23-15) at 8 p.m. (note the later start time).
It’s a little chaotic here with the Bruins game having ended just after 4 p.m. The Bruins reporters are still rapidly finishing up their stories in the press room, while Celtics reporters are waiting to get this East-West matchup under way.
Celtics backup center Patrick O’Bryant did manage to get some shooting in on the parquet while the Bull Gang finished setting up the arena for basketball a short time ago. It’s amazing how quickly these guys turn this building around. Not to toot my Boston.com horn, but colleague Tony Massarotti will have a feature on the Garden changeover tomorrow on the site. Mazz is here now, running around like a crazy man. Should be a good piece.
Anyways, with all the commotion we haven’t gotten to observe as much of the pregame warm-ups as we would have liked. But the locker rooms beckon. Back in a few minutes with observations from the court, as well as quotes from the locker rooms.
