Tony Allen out

As we suspected when we saw him in street clothes earlier, Tony Allen is officially out of tonight’s game with that right ankle injury. Allen could also miss Friday’s game against Cleveland, according to Doc Rivers.

Rivers said the team did an MRI on Allen’s ankle but added, “I haven’t read them yet, being the doctor that I am. If he’s not playing tonight, it would be tough to get him ready for Friday…If he’s not 100 percent or close to it, I just don’t see the urgency in throwing him out there.”

Rivers said Kevin Garnett has soreness in his calf, but also has soreness “all over his body”, a product of reaching this part of the season. Despite that, Rivers said he has no plans to sit Garnett out of any upcoming games.

“No. If I thought it was something where it could cost us later on, absolutely. But not right now. He’s not anywhere near that shape at all.”
