Butler in, Stevenson out
Caron Butler (ankle) will start tonight’s game for the Wizards. Washington head coach Ed Tapscott said Butler is close to 100 percent.
DeShawn Stevenson (back) is out of the lineup for the Wizards.
Tapscott has a Boston connection because he attended Tufts in the 1970s. He says when he was a student, he used to attend games at the old Boston Garden for only a dollar.
“It certainly affected one of my semesters,” Tapscott said. “I spent far too many evenings at the Boston Garden and not enough at the library. My old man wrote me and asked me what was up.”
Tapscott was asked what it would be like tonight to face the Celtics after their 1-3 road trip.
“They’ve been pretty close to perfect,” he said. “We’re aware that they might be in a bad mood.”
