Getting closer …
Paul Pierce was animated during his pregame shooting drills, bouncing around like a 5-year-old on a hobby horse.
After ending his session by nailing a three from the corner, Pierce ran off the court and yelled, “Let’s go, baby.”
On the other end, Pistons bench players went through organized layup lines. They did this before their other two trips to the Garden this year as well. The Pistons starters don’t participate in the drills.
The arena is still closed to fans, so we’re in that in-between time right now. The locker rooms open soon, so we’ll get some good stuff for you then.
— Detroit’s playoff media guide is peppered with stories about “the Rasheed Wallace fans don’t see.” It features testimonials for Wallace’s character from players, coaches, and even his mother. What I’m getting from this is that apparently some people don’t like Wallace.
