The Pistons are blaring hip-hop music in their locker room on an iPod, attached to a Bose speaker.
The white boards in the team locker rooms are off-limits, but without giving away any strategy, the word “SIMPLICITY” is written in large red letters on Detroit’s white board.
“A team coming off seven games, they’re going to be competitively honed in,” said Saunders. “Because only two days ago they were playing a seventh game. We’ve been off for a while. It’s going to take us a little bit of time to get the competitive juices flowing. But we’ll get there.”
Another thing that may help the Celtics?
“To Boston’s credit, they played Cleveland, who is a very physical defensive team,” said Saunders. “I think that’s how we play. So they’re probably prepared to play that.”
