Celtics, 53-52 (3)
We’ve got ourselves a ballgame.
The Celtics and Cavs have gone back and forth here in the third quarter, trading punches like a couple of prize fighters. At least on the defensive end.
The teams are involved in a defensive slugfest. The Celtics have forced Cleveland into 28-percent shooting, while the Cavs have forced Boston into 19 turnovers.
It’s not a day for the small forwards. LeBron James has made just one field goal but has eight free throws and 10 points in the game. Paul Pierce is just 2 of 12 and has 4 points.
Kevin Garnett is pacing the Celtics with 20 points.
The fans have increased the volume here in the third quarter, voicing their opinions on foul calls in particular. LeBron’s fourth personal foul was met with thunderous applause.
