Boston Celtics

Different feeling

It’s definitely not the usual atmosphere here this afternoon. It’s hard to describe, but everyone seems nervous. There were more police officers stationed in front of the locker rooms than usual, though it was unclear as to why they would be needed today as opposed to every other game.

The Hawks locker room is usually rowdy, but Atlanta players were all sitting in front of their lockers and not saying much. A sign on the door of Atlanta’s locker room reads, “Shock the World. Hawks Playoffs 2008.”

The Celtics locker room is empty, minus P.J. Brown. Kendrick Perkins stuck his head in, saw the mass of media, and walked the other way.
