KG being…calm?
Kevin Garnett might be the most emotional player in the NBA. He might just be the most emotional person in sports.
So here was KG, after the biggest game of the season, talking to the media about keeping his cool. He said he passed that advice onto Kendrick Perkins, who had a career-high 20 rebounds tonight against the Pistons.
“Perk is real emotional, and I can relate to that,” Garnett said after the game. “I was just trying to get him to keep his cool…Part of my responsibility is by example, and you know, as nuts as it sounds, I was trying to get him to calm down. And he listens to me, too. I was trying to get him to keep his cool and not do anything ,or get a stupid technical or dumb fouls. And he heard me a little bit. But he was in the zone, and he’s been in the zone for about two weeks now… he’s playing real good basketball.”
