Wolves, 30-29 (1)
Minnesota elected to start Ryan Gomes on Kevin Garnett, while Al Jefferson took Kendrick Perkins. Without much help for Gomes, the result was six quick points for KG.
On the other end, Minnesota started by making 7-of-10 shots. Jefferson took it to the Celtics for eight points in the quarter.
Perkins had a good quarter capitalizing on Minnesota leaving him alone to double other players. Perk had six points in the first. One thing he’s doing so much better: Going straight up with it when he catches the ball. He’s so much better when he doesn’t try to put it on the floor.
