What goes around…
Welcome to the Garden, where the Boston Celtics (33-7) will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves (7-34) tonight at 7:30 p.m.
The big story tonight is the return of five players from last year’s Celtics team (in addition to Antoine Walker). Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, and Gerald Green were traded to the Wolves as part of the Kevin Garnett deal. This is the first meeting between the two teams since the trade.
Ray Allen just finished his pregame routine of launching 250 shots. It’s the first time we’ve been here early enough to catch it. Wearing white iPod ear buds, Allen works up quite a sweat. He’s not just standing behind the line tossing shots up. With the help of player development coach Mike Crotty, Allen puts himself in game-situations, catching the ball on the run and squaring up before shooting. He’s got the best stroke in the game, hands down.
We’re going all out in our coverage tonight, and there will be no shortage of things to write about. Keep it here for behind-the-scenes coverage from the Garden all night
