Boston Celtics

Doc’s diagnosis

The Celtics shot better than the Wizards and didn’t seem worse than them in any significant categories, but Celtics coach Doc Rivers found a good reason for his team’s loss.

“It’s tough to move when another team has the ball most of the game,” said Rivers. “You know what I mean? They’re a team that runs their Princeton — 20 seconds on a possession. The good thing we did do tonight, especially, well, in the first half, we did do a terrific job. I think they had one offensive rebound, I’m not even sure of that. In the second half they had eight. That kind of kept them in the game again.”
