It’s been a pretty typical start so far. The Celtics hit four of their first seven shots and forced the Bobcats to take a timeout trailing 9-4. Charlotte has since recovered and is actually out-shooting the Celtics (50 to 48 percent) after one quarter.

Charlotte elected to guard Kevin Garnett with Emeka Okafor in the first. Okafor gives up speed to Garnett but is really the only Bobcat player who can muscle KG in the post and have some chance of stopping his shot.

Garnett is leading the Celtics with 9 points. Jason Richardson has 8 points for Charlotte.

  • Without the services of Glen Davis tonight, the Celtics brought Brian Scalabrine into the game at the 3:32 mark in the first.
  • The crowd is very into this game tonight. It feels like a Friday-night crowd for a Wednesday-night game.
