Boston Celtics

Grizzlies, 24-22 (1)

This one has gotten off to an ugly start.

The Celtics shot just 35 percent in the first quarter, and it’s showing on the scoreboard. The Grizzlies are only shooting 40 percent, or else Memphis would be up by more.

The crowd chanted ‘Let’s go Celtics’ several times to try to get the home team on track. Tony Allen nailed a three-pointer toward the end of the quarter, which could be a positive sign for Boston. Doc Rivers said before the game he’d like to get Allen more minutes.

Mike Miller is leading Memphis with nine points. Kevin Garnett has 10 points for the Celtics.

  • Paul Pierce and Rudy Gay are matched up against each other. Seems like each player should have an advantage on the offensive end.
