The Celtics increased their lead here in the third quarter, but they still don’t have much breathing room heading into the final frame.

Kevin Garnett high-fived Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck after completing a three-point play with 54.5 seconds left in the quarter. James Posey hit a three-pointer on Boston’s next possession to push the lead to 11.

The Celtics have raised their shooting percentage to close to 50 percent. Meanwhile, Memphis has dipped to 38-percent shooting.

Paul Pierce is pacing the Celtics with 20 points.

  • Ray Allen is 0-for-8 from the field. He has yet to score.
