Yao Ming started to assert himself here in the third quarter. Yao had 11 points and five rebounds in the period. He put down a wicked dunk on KG with 5:39 left in the quarter.

Scott Pollard picked up four fouls in the third trying to stay with Yao, including taking an attempted charge that must have been painful.

Paul Pierce is leading the way for the Celtics with 17 points and five rebounds. Rajon Rondo has 10 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.
