Boston Celtics

Celtics, 26-19 (1)

The Celtics and Bulls are playing with nowhere near the intensity we saw Wednesday night when the C’s hosted the Pistons.

Paul Pierce is leading the Celtics with six points and seven rebounds. Ben Gordon has nine points for the Bulls.

  • Kevin Garnett made an unbelievably athletic play midway through the quarter, out-jumping three defenders to catch an entry pass before kicking it out to Ray Allen for a three to make it 15-8, Celtics.
  • Garnett likes to block shots after the whistle, presumably so his opponent doesn’t get the satisfaction of watching his shot go in. I don’t think he’s been caught with it yet, but one of these days he’s going to touch the ball on a continuation and get called for a goal tend.
  • If the Pistons hadn’t just been here this would arguably be the biggest home game for the Celtics so far this season.
  • The smoke from the pregame pyrotechnics is still very present in the arena.
