It’s been more of the same here in the third quarter as the Celtics hold a large lead over the Wizards as we enter the fourth.

Paul Pierce continues to lead the Celtics with 23 points.

  • Kevin Garnett and Wizards center Brendan Haywood have been jawing back and forth in the second half. Not sure exactly what started the trash talk, but Garnett’s intensity has certainly been noticeable. The game has turned chippy, which isn’t necessarily something you want from a blowout. Gilbert Arenas continues to take abuse (think of the Darryl Strawberry chants at Fenway) from the fans here.
  • Red Sox rookie Jacoby Ellsbury held up the 2007 World Series trophy from a luxury box behind section 21 during game action in the third quarter. The crowd cheered loudly, then cheered even louder when Kevin Garnett hit a jumper seconds later. Tom Brady then threw a touchdown pass to Randy Moss seconds before Mike Vrabel sacked Peyton Manning. Those last two parts are made up.
