Allen facts

BOSTON GARDEN – Former UConn guard Ray Allen is coming to Boston in a draft-night deal that sent the Celtics’ No. 5 pick (Jeff Green), guard Delonte West, and forward Wally Szczerbiak to Seattle. The Celtics will also receive the Sonics’ second-round pick, No. 35 in tonight’s draft.

The 6 foot 5 inch shooting guard averaged 26.4 points per game for the Sonics last season, the highest per game average of his career. Allen, who will turn 32 on July 20, was the fifth pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Allen is second to Reggie Miller on the NBA’s all-time list with 1,920 three-pointers made.
