Pierce still hospitalized
Celtics captain Paul Pierce will remain at New England Baptist Hospital overnight and will be reevaluated tomorrow, according to Celtics PR guru Jeff Twiss. Pierce was sent back to Boston from Detroit on Monday with an infection in his left elbow.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers said tonight he does not expect Pierce back before the All-Star break. Without the elbow problem, Rivers said Pierce may have played tonight and probably would have played Friday.
