Big Al’s take

Celtics forward Al Jefferson came away from his matchup with Tim Duncan a little wiser.

“The one mistake I made on him was trying to steal the ball and that cost us a three-point play,” said Jefferson. “He’s a great player. He’s got respect from me and everyone else in the league, so it means a lot to be on the same court with him.”

Jefferson (26 points and 14 rebounds) did more than stay on the court with the former MVP.
