Morgan Geekie got the last laugh on Tuesday night in St. Louis.
Ahead of the Bruins’ road game against the Blues, Boston’s X account posted a photo of Geekie walking into Enterprise Center donning a puffer jacket.
The Bruins winger’s pregame attire apparently drew the ire of the Blues’ social-media accounts, as the team’s X account posted a photo of the temperature in St. Louis — 47 degrees — above the photo of Geekie’s winter gear.

The Blues’ chirp of the Manitoba native’s wardrobe didn’t age very well.
Shortly after the Bruins secured a 5-2 win over the Blues on Tuesday night, Geekie took to social media to offer up a retort to the Blues’ meteorological taunt.
“This 47,” Geekie asked while posting a photo of teammate Mark Kastelic’s stat line from the victory.

Kastelic — who dons the No. 47 for Boston — was one of the key cogs in the Bruins’ third-straight win, scoring a pair of goals against the Blues on a revamped fourth line.
While most of the focus on Geekie in recent years has been his ascension as one of the league’s top goal-scorers, he’s developed a habit for also dunking on fans, media, and other commenters online.
After 98.5 The Sports Hub producer Kevin Maggiore questioned the Bruins’ decision to leave the bench to celebrate David Pastrnak’s 400th career goal on Nov. 11, Geekie caught wind of the post later that night.
“Stick to your day job Kevin,” Geekie responded online.
Geekie’s development as a potential 50-goal scorer this season might have been sparked by an online comment last December.
After one fan labeled the decision to place Geekie on the first line as “baffling”, the forward replied, “Damn bro tell me how you really feel.”
Since posting that retort, Geekie has gone on to score 53 goals over his last 86 games.
As Geekie continues to light the lamp with regularity, it might be time for opposing fans and teammates to stop trying to land digs against the Bruins winger online.
