David Pastrnak has made life miserable for the Toronto Maple Leafs and their fans over the years.
In 26 regular-season games against Toronto, Pastrnak has scored 18 goals and posted 35 total points.
Boston has beat the Leafs in both of its playoff series with Pastrnak in the lineup, with the star winger lighting the lamp seven times and recording 19 points over those 14 playoff matchups.
And given his knack for doling out pain against one of Boston’s top rivals, it should come as no surprise that the Bruins star managed to get a few more digs in against his team’s Original Six foe during the NHL’s All-Star Weekend up in Toronto.
As expected, Pastrnak was greeted with plenty of boos among a Leafs-heavy crowd at Scotiabank Arena on Friday — prompting the winger to kiss the spoked B on his sweater in response.

“I knew I’m probably getting booed,” Pastrnak said on Friday, per Luke Fox of Sportsnet. “But then I said, ‘I’m not [Brad Marchand], so maybe I won’t get booed.’ Then I heard some boos, so I just kissed the logo to let them know I’m [a] proud Bruin.”
Pastrnak was far from finished.
All things considered, it was a good weekend for the Maple Leafs — as the team’s quartet of All-Star appointees in Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and Morgan Rielly took home the win in the 3-on-3 All-Star competition on Saturday.
Team Matthews ultimately beat Connor McDavid’s team — which also featured Pastrnak — in the final game of the showcase, with Matthews earning MVP honors.
But that didn’t stop Pastrnak from landing a shot against the Leafs following their All-Star triumph.
“Good for them,” Pastrnak said of the Maple Leafs’ success on Saturday, per NHL.com’s Dan Rosen. They needed some wins. They got one.”

And then he smiled.
Team Matthews had a varied supporting cast on the bench, with Bruins coach Jim Montgomery sharing duties with celebrity captain Justin Bieber.
Bieber and Pastrnak managed to catch up and take a few photos during the festivities up in Toronto, with Pastrnak once again throwing a jab at the pop musician for his Leafs fandom.

“That was cool. He’s an amazing, talented person,” Pastrnak told reporters of meeting Bieber. “Obviously, a fan of his music. He is a Leafs fan, so that’s a little step back. It was fun. I was able to get a picture with him in the room and on the ice. Definitely special. All the players appreciate him being a hockey fan. It helps our game when a person like this appreciates what we do.”
Pastrnak has chirped Bieber before due to his Toronto ties.
During the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Bieber posted on Instagram with a plea for the Maple Leafs to finally beat the Bruins ahead of a Game 7 showdown at TD Garden.
The Bruins ultimately prevailed in that game, 5-1, with Pastrnak responding to Bieber’s Instagram post just minutes after the final seconds ran off the clock.
“Not today Justin”, was Pastrnak’s retort.
