With the 2019 season in full swing, the Bruins are looking to avenge last year’s defeat in the Stanley Cup Finals to the St. Louis Blues. While Boston is expected to be a contender this season, their cap space remains one of the most difficult problems facing the team moving forward.

The Bruins’ current cap spending sits at $80,430,235 for the 2019-20 season, which gives them $1,069,765 of total cap space for the season. This cap situation gives them limited flexibility this year but presents a much bigger problem next offseason, with the Bruins having seven unrestricted free agents at the end of the season including Torey Krug and Kevan Miller.
