Video: The Bruins’ first goal was overturned due to goaltender interference in Game 6
The NHL's Situation Room determined that Joakim Nordstrom had interfered with Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.
Sean Kuraly’s would-be goal was called off due to goaltender interference midway through the first period of Game 6 against the Blue Jackets.
Kuraly scored on a chaotic sequence that dragged Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky out of the crease. Bobrovsky made a save on Kuraly’s original shot, but the rebound eventually made its way back to No. 52, who sent the puck past Bobrovsky’s glove.

After the goal was scored, the Blue Jackets issued a coach’s challenge, arguing Joakim Nordstrom impeded Bobrovsky’s ability to make the save. Nordstrom appeared to make contact with Bobrovsky as he passed the front of the net, thereby pushing the Columbus goaltender away from the crease.
The NHL’s Situation Room ultimately “determined that the actions of Nordstrom impaired Bobrovsky’s ability to play his position in the crease,” and the goal was overturned.
