Who will score the winning goal in Game 7 of Bruins-Leafs?
Debate the answer with Chad Finn and Boston sports fans at The Sports Q.
Welcome to Boston.com’s Sports Q, our daily conversation, initiated by you and moderated by Chad Finn, about a compelling topic in Boston sports. Here’s how it works: You submit questions to Chad through Twitter, Facebook, and email. He’ll pick one each weekday to answer, then we’ll take the discussion to the comments. Chad will stop by several times per day to navigate. But you drive the conversation.
Assuming Game 7 is tied late, who scores the winning goal? Not exactly a bold take, but I’ve got Patrice Bergeron. How about you? (It’s OK to pick a Leaf if you think they’re going to win.) – Dave G.
I imagine Vegas would figure on Bergeron before anyone else, other than maybe one of the big names on the Leafs like John Tavares. He’s a great call, which also adds to the torment of Toronto given what he did to them in Game 7 in 2013.
He’s my predicted second star. First star – and the goal-scorer – for me will be David Krejci, just to be different. The most I’ve ever covered the Bruins in person was during the 2011 Stanley Cup run and the 2013 loss in the Final, and he was the leading scorer in the postseason both of those years, so I’m a big believer in Playoff Krejci.
He has 4 points in this series (2 goals, 2 assists). Bet he boosts that total with a memorable moment or two tonight.
But what does everyone else think? Who will score the winning goal in Game 7? I’ll hear you in the comments.
