Bruins to have 14 games broadcast on national TV this season
The Bruins will play the Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Winter Classic.
The Bruins will have 14 games televised on nationally on either NBC or NBC Sports Network, including the season opener against the defending Stanley Champion Washington Capitals on Oct. 3. The two teams will meet on national television again in Boston on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 3).
Only the Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks (18 each), Philadelphia Flyers (17), and Pittsburgh Penguins (15) are scheduled for more national appearances.
The Bruins will play the Blackhawks in the 2019 NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium on Jan. 1, 2019 on NBC.
Other highlights include a home game against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday, Jan. 14; a road game against the defending Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday, Feb. 20; and home against the team that eliminated them from the playoffs last season, the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, Feb. 28 — all on NBC Sports Network.
