CHICAGO — Brad Marchand will not play in Sunday’s game against the Blackhawks because of an upper-body injury. The 29-year-old, who has a team-high 29 goals and 69 points, collided with forward Anthony Duclair during the first period of Saturday’s Bruins-Blackhawks game in Boston. Marchand did not participate in warmups in Chicago Sunday.

This will be the 14th game the Bruins will play without their No. 1 left wing. The Bruins will play with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.

Meanwhile, Anton Khudobin will get the start as the Bruins and Blackhawks complete their back-to-back set.

Coach Bruce Cassidy considered giving Zdeno Chara the day off because of the prompt turnaround, the team’s position in the standings, and the importance of the captain. But Chara played a manageable 20:09 in the Bruins’ 7-4 win on Saturday. Cassidy said he would think about resting Chara later this month or in April before the playoffs.
