After a first-round exit, it’s time to assess the Bruins roster
Bruins bosses Cam Neely and Don Sweeney weren’t entertaining media requests or holding season-ending press conferences Monday, the day after their season closed with an exasperated exhale, yet another overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators at TD Garden.
It was the fourth overtime game in the series, the third OT loss for the Bruins, and they wrapped up their season with three straight playoff losses on Causeway Street for the first time since 1998 vs. the Capitals.
What’s old is new again, albeit with little comfort for a fan base now left craving playoff success for four seasons.
