Meet the Boston Bruins newcomers

Newly appointed GM Don Sweeney wasted no time changing personnel this offseason. The Bruins open up the regular season Thursday night, so let’s take a look at some new faces sporting the spoked B. Some will take time to rise through the ranks, while others the Bruins hope will make immediate impact.

The Boston Bruins narrowly missed the playoffs in the 2014-15 season, falling three points short of the Ottawa Senators in the Atlantic Division standings.

Change came soon after.

The Bruins fired general manager Peter Chiarelli and promoted Don Sweeney to take his place. And Sweeney made a number of major deals, trading Dougie Hamilton, Milan Lucic, and others over the course of the offseason.
