The Bruins also announced they have re-signed center Ryan Spooner and goaltender Jeremy Smith. Spooner signed a two-year deal and will have a cap hit of $950,000, while Smith signed a one-year, two-way contract that will cost $600,000 against the Bruins’ salary cap.

Spooner scored eight goals and dished out 10 assists last season in 29 games at the NHL level. Smith spent the year in Providence, but the 26-year-old could emerge as the backup to Tuukka Rask in 2015.
