Watch: David Pastrnak Scores First NHL Goal
With the Bruins looking for a spark in the midst of a disappointing season, rookie David Pastrnak provided just that in the first period on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Halfway through Boston’s first power play of the game, Torey Krug’s one-timer was saved by Flyer’s goaltender Ray Emery. Pastrnak was there in front of the net to backhand the rebound home for his first career NHL goal.

As if one goal wasn’t impressive enough, he tallied another at 4:57 in the third period, while the clock running out was all that denied him a hat trick, as he fired toward an empty Flyers’ net as time expired in the Bruins’ 3-1 win.
The 18-year-old Pastrnak was the Bruins first round draft selection in 2014. Entering Saturday, he had played six games for the Bruins, tallying one assist, while scoring 10 goals and adding 17 assists in 24 games with Providence.
