Boston Bruins 4-3 Loss to the Minnesota Wild in .Gifs
Frustration and missed opportunities in the third period were the story of this game.

The Bruins lost despite a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. The Wild scored three unanswered goals in the final period, one night after the Wild gave up five goals in the third in a loss to the New York Rangers. The Bruins were the rested team, not having played since Saturday, yet were completely outplayed in the third to remain under the .500 mark for the season. Nino Niederreiter of the Minnesota Wild opened the scoring 4:51 into the first period with his second goal of the season, assisted by Thomas Vanek.

Milan Lucic initiated contact to help the Bruins regain puck possession, which soon after lead to the game-tying goal.

Rookie Seth Griffith scored his second career NHL goal late in the first period. He crashed the net to put home an excellent pass from David Krejci, while Zach Trotman’s secondary assist was his first career NHL point.

The Bruins then scored twice in the second period, beginning 5:23 in with Griffith’s second goal of the game, assisted by Gregory Campbell and Milan Lucic. Does this type of goal look familiar?

With just over three minutes left in the second period, Milan Lucic scored on the power play to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead. Torey Krug and Griffith assisted on the goal.

In the third period, the Bruins were out-shot 18-8 and outscored 3-0. Zach Parise began the comeback 4:21 into the third period with his fourth goal of the season.
