Bruins Cut 11 From Training Camp Roster

The Bruins announced on Sunday that they had released 11 players from their training camp squad, 10 days before their season opener.
Ten of the players released will head to Providence to take part in Providence Bruins training camp, which begins this week. That list includes forwards Alex Fallstrom, Brian Ferlin, Seth Griffin, Jared Knight, Matt Lindblad, Tyler Randell, and Ben Sexton; and defenseman Chris Casto, Joe Morrow, and Zach Trotman.
Randell will have to clear waivers before being assigned to Providence.
Forward Bracken Kearns, who had been invited to camp on a tryout basis, was released from his tryout agreement.
The Bruins have gone 2-2 in the four preseason games they have played with three remaining: Sept. 30 and Oct. 3 against the New York Islanders and Oct. 4 against the Detroit Red Wings.
The Bruins begin their season on Oct. 8 when they welcome the Philadelphia Flyers to the TD Garden.
