Bruins, Make-A-Wish Foundation honor Maddie Santosuosso
Maddie Santosuosso, a Topsfield 9-year-old who suffers from a rare tissue cancer, had her wish granted by the Bruins and the Make-A-Wish Foundation Wednesday.
Santosuosso picked out some hockey gear with Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask the week before, then got a chance to put that gear to good use when she took the practice ice with Rask and the team.

Rask told the Globe’s Amalie Benjamin, “I was pretty impressed. That was her first time wearing that, and she was skating around stopping pucks, so I was pretty impressed with her. It’s always fun to brighten up a kid’s day.’’
