Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck’s stunning house is for sale
The home sits on roughly 30 acres and offers views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck has listed his Martha’s Vineyard estate for $22.5 million. The home, located on almost 30 acres of private land in Edgartown, offers plenty of privacy and beach access.
“It’s a remarkable home on an absolutely gorgeous setting,’’ said listing agent Tom Wallace of Wallace & Co. Sotheby’s International Realty. “Privacy is a key feature of the property.’’
The estate has only one main home. But with so many acres available, Wallace told Boston.com he would not be surprised if the home’s future owners decide to build additional dwellings on the land that a larger family could enjoy.
“It certainly has the capacity to expand to more of a compound,’’ said Wallace. “One could build two additional full-size properties if one wanted to create a generational meeting place.’’
The home is a water lover’s dream. It is located on Edgartown Great Pond and has views of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, the home features a heated swimming pool and a hot tub.
The contemporary home has roughly 7,000 square feet of living space, with seven bedrooms, seven full and one partial bathroom, and two guest wings in case you need to host – let’s say – members of a professional basketball team.
Additional amenities include a large stone fireplace, a glistening kitchen, and a master bedroom with a private deck. There is also a detached barn, to store kayaks and boats, and a two-car garage.
