Boston Rent Is Expensive, But at Least You Don’t Have a Shower in the Kitchen
$1800 per month can get you quite a bit more in Boston than some places in New York City.
Boston rents are not cheap. In fact, this map shows that rents have been increasing in the Hub since around 1990. By now you have probably heard micro apartments are on the rise and people are living in tiny spaces.
But at least your Boston shower is (probably) not in your kitchen.
The Gothamist has reported that there is currently a studio apartment listed on Padmapper in the Big Apple for $1,795 per month. That studio also happens to have a shower in the kitchen.
Here are some apartments you can get in Boston for close to that same price, without having to bathe where you cook.
Not only does this apartment not have a shower in its kitchen, but it also boasts two whole bedrooms and a living room.
This is a studio apartment, but it seems to have quite a bit more space than the one in NYC. Not to mention, this South End room has some exposed brick, new appliances, an updated bathroom, and a patio.
For $5 more per month, you could live in historic Charlestown spot with a bedroom, a living room, and a separate kitchen.
For $5 less per month, you can have a one-bedroom apartment that overlooks Beacon Street and has a cozy fireplace to warm up next to in the winter.
