THE FABRICS

THE WALLS
Hogarty commissioned decorative painter Pauline Curtiss of Patina to embellish the textural grasscloth wallcovering. “The design is reminiscent of batik,’’ Curtiss said. A pair of abstract landscapes by Vermont-based artist Charles Bluett add a touch of color against the soft beige walls, painted Farrow & Ball’s “Stony Ground.’’
THE BED
Edgy prints juxtapose the romantic curves of the bed, which is upholstered in a textured jacquard. “The finish is a wonderful chameleon of a color that works well with warm and cool tones,’’ Hogarty said.
THE DRAPES
So as not to challenge the view, Hogarty chose tailored linen-blend panel drapes with a subtle decorative tape down the leading edge.
